Pageant Prep Kit

This summer, I am competing in the USA National American Miss pageant as Miss Alabama. I am so thankful and excited to bring you along on this journey! Now that I’ve done pageants for a little over a year, I know exactly what products help me feel my best in preparation for a big day. Today, I’m sharing what’s in my pageant prep kit!

Makeup & Skincare:

  • Gold Under-Eye Patches - I typically don’t get much sleep at pageants, and these are great for helping my eyes look refreshed and prepped for the next day.

  • Lip Masks - After a long day, I love using lip masks to help me unwind. These are great at keeping my lips hydrated and allowing me some quick and easy self-care.

  • Laneige Lip Balm - I am obsessed with Laneige’s lip products, and these lip balms are amazing. I love to have one for moments when I just need a little something extra.

  • Makeup Remover Wipes - After a long day of wearing lots of makeup, I like to have makeup wipes on hand to clean my face and freshen up.

  • Triangle Powder Puffs - These little puffs are the perfect shape for touch-ups. They allow me to be super precise and are so easy to store.

  • Mighty Patch - The last thing I want is a stubborn pimple before I compete. These are great for last-minute spots and help clear them up overnight.

  • Foldable LED Makeup Mirror - This travel mirror is a must-have in my pageant kit. It is great for quick touch-ups and so easy to throw in a bag and go!

Haircare:

  • Amika Touchable Hairspray and Kenra Volumizing Hairspray - Hairspray is non-negotiable when it comes to beauty pageants. The bigger the hair, the better. I always like to have extra on me in case of emergencies or any flyaways!

  • 3-Piece Hair Slick Back Brush Set - Along with hairspray, I never want to be without a spare brush. These are great for adding volume or fixing stray hairs after my initial hair and makeup session.

  • Hairpins - Keeping my hair in place all day is key. I always have a pack of these on hand for some extra security.

Fashion:

  • Boob Tape - A lot of pageant dresses are backless, so using tape helps me feel more secure and avoid any wardrobe malfunctions.

  • Nipple Covers - Along with boob tape, I use these nipple covers under dresses or tops for a seamless look. I also loved using these in college for gameday and other going out tops.

  • Adhesive Thong - When it comes to dresses and interview outfits, a seamless look is a must. This adhesive thong stays in place every time, so I never have to worry about lines.

  • Fashion Tape - If I ever feel like an outfit needs extra reinforcement, I use this fashion tape to keep everything in place. I want to make sure my outfit looks perfect, especially before I go on stage.

  • Sewing Kit - You never know when a bead or button may come loose on your dress. This sewing kit is perfect for last-minute emergencies.

  • Roll-On Body Adhesive -This product is great at keeping my outfits and accessories in place creating the exact look I have envisioned.

  • Retractable Lint Roller - Presentation at pageants is everything. This lint roller is key giving my outfits a flawless look before I walk or interview.

  • Tide Stain Stick - Stains happen. These sticks make it so easy to remove even the toughest of stains.

Miscellaneous:

  • Cosmetic Organizer and Organizer With Removable Trays - I love using these cosmetic cases to carry all of my essentials! They have so much space, and the handles make them easy to transport and carry with me.

  • Touchland Hand Sanitizer - Clean hands is a must when I’m competing at a pageant. I love that this is a spray and the packaging is so sleek.

  • Extra Earring Backs - Pageant earring can be so heavy, and even the strongest of earring backs sometimes fall off. For a quick fix, I always have a pack of these in my kit.

  • Bandaid Hydro Seal Bandages - Blisters from heels are just a part of pageants. These bandaids are the best for protecting my feet and are great to have on hand.

  • Midol - I love having extra medicine on hand, and I always keep a travel pack of these in my kit.

  • Lifesaver Mints - Hard candy is great at helping manage my nerves while I'm waiting to go on stage. These are also the perfect extra touch for interviews. They keep my breath fresh and my confidence high.

  • French Manicure Pen - I always have my nails done before I go to a pageant, but this pen is great for touchups and last minute chips!

  • Manicure Set - Having a spare nail kit is essential. These kits have everything I could possibly need.

  • Minimergency Kit - For any extras or items I may have forgotten, this kit has it all. This helps with my peace of mind as I prepare for the pageant.

I love having all of these items on hand, and they definitely help ease the stress of a pageant. All of these items are linked here in my Amazon Storefront. Let me know what your favorite essential is and how you stay prepared!
