Halloweekend Recovery

Halloween is a special holiday that can be celebrated for multiple days or weekends, aka, Halloweekend! From putting together multiple costumes to staying out late to hang with your friends, it can be an exhausting holiday, and you will need to rest after the parties are over. Self-care after a busy couple of weeks is one of my favorite ways to feel refreshed, so here are my favorite products and things to do to recover from Halloweekend!

Draw a Bath

Taking a bath is a self-care must! After all the dancing you've done at Halloween parties, a bath is the perfect way to relax your body and calm your nerves. While Halloween may be over, now is the time to use any Halloween-themed bath bombs and enjoy the last moments of the holiday. Although, if you're anything like me, you've already moved on to Christmas!

Set the Vibe

Halloweekend is all about loud music and scary movies, so the recovery process should focus on peace and quiet. After all the mayhem of Halloween, I love lighting a fall candle and reading a book while I bathe to relax. There is nothing better than clearing your mind with a good book and smelling a candle that prepares you for the rest of autumn.

Refresh Your Body

I love to do an everything shower after a hectic week. Shaving is one of those things that makes me feel like I'm refreshing my body and getting ready to start a new week. Personally, I like using a men's razor and hydrating shaving cream to give my body the best shave!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

Even if you live in a cold area, I know you wore your cute costume no matter what the weather was! While you looked stunning, I'm sure your skin didn't feel hydrated or happy. Moisturizing your skin with a scrub or body lotion will help your skin recover from any harsh conditions and make it feel smooth and silky in the morning!

Post-Shave Care

When it comes to self-care, one of my biggest tips is to not forget about after-shave care! For those of us with sensitive skin, shaving can be a process that dries out our skin or irritates it. So, using after-shave moisturizer and ingrown serum will help reduce any inflammation or problems you might have after shaving!

Refresh Your Tan

While Halloweekend makes me feel tired and groggy, tanning makes me feel wide awake and happy! Giving yourself a fresh tan after a weekend out is a great way to make you feel good inside and out, no matter how exhausted you are (plus, it’s easy with a mitt). If you feel good on the outside, you'll feel great on the inside!

Get Cozy

If you're anything like me, Halloweekend is full of crazy and elaborate costumes. When I take off my last Halloween outfit, the last thing I want to do is put something uncomfortable on. Wearing a robe and a self-care headband is not only comfortable but instantly makes you feel relaxed and prepares you to unwind!

Take Care of Your Skin

Once again, if you're like me, your skin went through it during Halloween because of the makeup looks you did! While it is easy to forget the added wear on our skin, a face mask and a lip mask help rejuvenate and recharge your skin and give it a break from all the makeup you've been wearing.

Brighten Your Smile

Whitening my teeth is one of my favorite things to do when it comes to self-care. A smile is one of everybody's best features, so make sure to take good care of your teeth! I have sensitive teeth, but this teeth whitening kit is gentle and works wonders to brighten up your smile!

Don’t Forget Your Hair

From curling wands to hair straighteners, my hair also goes through it during Halloweekend. While I do a lot of hair care with my shampoo and conditioner, I love using my Victoria's Secret hair mist or Ouai's hair mist to refresh my hair and make it smell gorgeous!
