My Not-So-Spooky Halloween Movie Night
When Halloween night falls on a weekday, it is one of my favorite things to spend the night at home, snuggle up on my couch, and have a spooky movie night! Well, honestly, a not-so-spooky, spooky movie night because I am not into horror movies or anything really scary at all. Instead, I prefer a cozy night in, watching Halloween-themed movies that won't give me nightmares. If you're like me and looking for the ultimate Halloween movie night, here is my guide for the perfect Halloween night!
Setting the Vibe
One of the best ways to get into the Halloween spirit is to decorate for the occasion! While my house is decorated during the month, I like to add a few special things on Halloween that make it even spookier. Plus, I love finding decor that is more cute than spooky and makes me smile rather than scream!
Getting Cozy
A movie night is all about being warm and cozy! I love finding spooky blankets or pillows and setting up a little spot on the couch. I know Elle and Lemon are going to be cuddling up with us, so I need to make sure the couch is extra cozy. Plus, if you're not wearing a Halloween costume, I love wearing sweatshirts or pajamas that match the fall aesthetic of the holiday!
Spooky Snacks
One of the most important parts of a Halloween movie night is the snacks! While candy is the obvious staple of the night, there are so many other Halloween-themed snacks that I have come to love over the last couple of years! It is always best to have extra snacks for yourself because you don't want to be eating all the candy meant for your trick-or-treaters!
My Favorite Movies
Now, it is time for the movie line-up! I've put together all of my favorite movies that take place during Halloween or give me spooky Halloween vibes. None of them are scary, and they are perfect for a cozy night in.
My Favorite Television Shows
While movies are the main event, I love watching spooky television shows, too! You can rewatch a show or start a new one on Halloween and finish it before the end of fall!
This Halloween is extra special because it is the first time Will and I are handing out candy in our new apartment! We don't want to miss any trick-or-treaters, so a movie night is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday while still partaking in the festivities! I hope you all have a happy Halloween!
