Moving to New York City

“Welcome to New York. It’s been waiting for you.”

We are moving to New York City! If you have watched the past few of my YouTube videos, you will know that my boyfriend Will and I are moving to Manhattan this week (and Elle of course!). I have loved being able to bring you along for my apartment-searching journey (you can watch my vlog on it here). Will and I have been long(ish) distance for almost 4 years and are so excited to finally be able to be together!

I will be continuing YouTube/content creation full-time while in NYC. I actually just hit my 4 year anniversary on YouTube this week, isn’t that crazy?! I can’t wait to see all of the opportunities NYC brings for my brand and platform while I am living here. I absolutely love creating content of my day-to-day life and am so excited I have more time to spend doing what I love.

One of the things I was most nervous about this move was flying with Elle, but it actually went very smoothly. It didn’t take any extra time through TSA and she has been very calm through this whole moving process. I am so excited for her to have her own little place in our new apartment! She has been in a lot of different places the past couple of months waiting for this move so I know she is excited to be settled in too.

We got into our apartment early this week and it is everything we could have asked for! We moved most of my kitchen items from my apartment and small decor items with us to the city. I decided to sell/donate most of the furniture I had in my college apartment, meaning we have a lot to find for our new place! I have loved being able to design our very first place and get pieces we will cherish forever. Y’all know that my college apartment was very girly and pink and while Will said he was fine with keeping the same aesthetic, I decided to try and go a little more neutral LOL. Don’t worry, there will still be pops of pink and color throughout our apartment though!

Next week I will be posting my empty apartment tour + moving into my NYC apartment on my YouTube channel! These are videos I love making because I love looking back at the memories I got to make. Will and I also got to have a photo shoot in our apartment before all of the boxes and movers got there. Keep an eye out on my Instagram for when we get those precious memories back!

Thank you to those who have shared all of your kind words about this move with us so far. It is scary for us to both be away from friends and family for the first time, but know it will only help us grow in ways we can only imagine! We miss having everyone so close, but we can’t wait to host people soon when we get settled in!

See you in the city!
