Super Bowl Recipes

If you watched my Cozy at Home Vlog, you would know that we take football very seriously in my house! Will has been a Kansas City Chiefs fan forever, and I've become more invested since Taylor Swift started dating Travis Kelce. To make game day special, especially the Super Bowl, I love making special Sunday football recipes, so I thought I'd share my two favorites with you!

What You’ll Need

These are some of my favorite kitchen accessories you can use to make these two recipes!

Baked Potato Soup

Ingredients

2 Cans of Cream of Chicken

3-4  Cups of Chicken Broth (depends on how thick you want your soup!)

Hidden Valley Ranch Packet

Shredded Hashbrowns (I typically use a bag anywhere from 28-35 ounces)

1 Onion

Bacon (as much as your heart desires)

Bacon Fat (this is optional, but bacon fat adds extra flavor)

Cream Cheese (optional for more creamy soup)

Shredded Cheddar Cheese for topping

Steps

In your Crock Pot, mix together your cream of chicken, chicken broth, ranch packet, and shredded hashbrowns. Don’t worry if your hashbrowns are frozen, it doesn’t matter for this recipe! After mixing all those ingredients together, place the Crock Pot on High and set a timer for 4 hours.

While your soup begins to heat up, dice up your onion, bacon, and add in your bacon grease. I typically make the bacon before I put it in the soup, but you can always place uncooked bacon inside the soup, which is great if you don’t have any bacon grease on hand. This is also when I add in my cream cheese because Will and I love a creamy soup.

After four hours, continue to monitor your soup and add time depending on the consistency you desire. Once your soup is ready, top with shredded cheddar cheese, extra bacon bits, and enjoy!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients

1 Rotisserie Chicken

8 Ounces of Sharp Cheddar

Frank’s Original Hot Sauce

1 Pack of Softened Cream Cheese

Ranch Dressing

Pita or Tortilla Chips for dipping
Steps

Preheat your oven to 350F, and then take all the chicken off of the bone. I use both the white and dark meat, but if you only like one or the other, that works, too! Place your chicken in a bowl to the side, and grate your cheese. You can get shredded cheese, but it’s not as good as getting a block and doing it yourself.

Cube your cream cheese and place it in a pan on the stove before heating it up. Add a cup of hot sauce and a cup of ranch dressing to the pan, then slowly begin to heat and melt your ingredients. Slowly add in your grated cheese when your mixture starts to bubble. Once everything is melted together, add in your chicken and stir until covered.

It’s important to note that because I used rotisserie chicken, I didn’t add any extra seasoning. If you’re using your own chicken, add salt, pepper, garlic salt, or onion powder to taste. Now, pour everything in your pan into a baking dish and place in the oven for 30 minutes. I know mine is done when it’s bubbling and a little brown on top. Once ready, eat with pita or tortilla chips and enjoy!

These two recipes are some of my favorite things to make for football games, and I hope you find these just as delicious as I do! Happy Super Bowl Sunday, and let’s go Chiefs!
